Monster Jam (Anaheim) Review

By M. Kraemer January 31, 2017

How do I explain one of the most amazing afternoon/evenings my family and I have had. I hope my words can do justice on this wonderful event. I wouldn't mind repeating this day, it was so much fun.

My family and I attended the pit party for monster Jam on Saturday Jan 28th. I really didn't know what to expect, I've never been to a pit party, I had no clue. We got there a little early before it opened and we waited in line. The anticipation of waiting for the gate to open was creeping through our veins as we anxiously waited to get in.

Once inside we feel the excitement through the air of all the Monster trucks fans around. If we looked to our left a Monster Truck, if we looked to our right a Monster Truck, they were all around. The thrill of being able to see these Monster Trucks up close was pure enjoyment.  These trucks were so monstrous. My youngest kept calling them a Pirate ship  This gives you an idea of how big they were, hence the word “Monster” right?

For a small fee you could actually ride on a monster truck or jump in a bounce house. So much was going on.

They had motorcycle stunts you could watch. Oh my goodness, my heart just drops watching these guys go high up. Maybe it’s just the mother in me.

My youngest and I stood in the lines by each truck to meet the drivers. My son got his T-shirt signed by almost each one of them.

We also took pictures with them. Here I am having a blast with the drivers.

.  My little guy kept wanting to go into the trucks. I can't believe how big they are. I just kept thinking to myself, how amazing it would be to ride in one of these.

I never did pick a favorite, I was enthralled with them all.  The machinery that stood before me, the mechanisms, the body work, the TIRES, Oh My! Yes I was in Monster Truck heaven.

Now when someone says, “Hey, do you want to go to a pit party?” I'll be the first one with my hand up and ready to go. You will see me at the first of the line. Now that I know how much  fun it can be and how exciting it is I wouldn't hesitate at a chance to go again.

Onto to the show:

We were in such anticipation for the show to start, I could not wait to watch these trucks in action. My assistant, her grandson, my son and I attended the show. My husband and my little guy left to go home. It was a long day already for my youngest autistic son.

The boys had a great time. Though the question is did they have a better time than my assistant and I?

As we were sitting in our seats I sense the anticipation of the show starting from all around. The stands were packs with families. Children were awaiting with excitement for the Monster Trucks to appear on the field before us.

The show starts. The revving of the engines, the cheers, and the thrilling moment when those trucks come onto the field ran chills down my spine.

The racing, the jumping (oh the jumping), the free styling, I don't think I could say any words that would do this show justice. Amazing comes close to it though.

Honestly I didn't want it to end. It was an afternoon/evening of pure excitement. All I can say is wow, just wow and double wow.

Even though I was invited to attend the pit party and the show my opinions are my own.

I have to admit, when I came home I looked to see when the next show was. I would love to attend again. IT WAS THAT MUCH FUN.

Thank goodness we brought along headphones and earplugs.

I just can't believe what an amazing and wonderful day we had. Here it is Sunday the day after and we are still lavishing in the thrill and fun we had the day before.

There is still time to attend and enjoy this marvelous event.

Don’t fret or think about it, get tickets now. There’s only a couple more shows left at Anaheim.  I highly suggest to attend the pit party and afterwards go enjoy the show as we did.   Truly amazing!
